It covers handling of the components, preparation of the base board, the insertion of components, soldering, inspection, and specialized subjects such as cleaning and conformal coatings. The assembly of surface-mounted components is treated briefly. Solder, soldering and solderability is however, treated in detail due to the importance of these aspects of printed board assemblies.
